Hi! My name is Omar Reyes and I share my life with a dog.
I am not a veterinarian, a dog trainer, or an expert on dogs. However, I have shared my life with dogs for most of my life. And after all these years, there is still so much I want to learn about providing my dog with a better, longer, and healthier life.
I spend a great deal of time reading, researching, and learning about dogs, their behavior, their health, and their overall care. I also enjoy writing, so what better way to combine my two passions than to share what I know and what I learn with you.
I am married to Lisette Reyes. I have two teenage sons, Omar and Chris, and Lisette has two teenagers, Jared and Brittney. Along with Misha, our family Schnoodle, it makes for a fun and interesting life.
I work from home, so Misha is constantly by my side providing me with comfort, laughter, and inspiration.

The mission of DogCareJourney.com is to share ideas, tips, and reviews for a happy, healthy, and well behaved dog.
This blog is an ongoing journey, a quest to learn as much as I can about dogs. Topics include dog care, training tips, food and nutrition, dog health, and dog breed profiles. You will also find find reviews of products and services that I believe would make your dog happier and healthier.
There are many other blogs out there talking about dogs and their care, and I am certainly no dog whisperer. But I am someone who has owned dogs, been through multiple training courses, and has the desire to learn more. I believe that proper dog care is an ongoing process, and I have a good foundation to build on.
